Starting this month, I'm taking a very different approach to the way I present my life. My goal is to show you that there's a lot more to life than just parties because evidence of being "out" is more than just pictures of you in your bedroom, at a friend's house, in your car, or even in a club. I hope you enjoy the new format and I hope I inspire you to be a "daywalker," too!

On May 5, 2007, ASIAC (AIDS Services for Asian Communities) asked me to volunteer my time to represent them in the Asian American Heritage Month Celebration held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This is not an LGBT event, but rather an "everybody" event. The schedule included stage performances by dancers, musicians, and performance artists. I spent all afternoon handing out literature, condoms, and candy to passersby. Almost 200 people stopped by our booth and we managed to generate some interest in our tenth anniversary show on May 11, 2007. It was cool that both the kids and grownups didn't have a problem with me being transgender.

That morning I was at Fat Jack's Comicrypt for Free Comic Book Day to pick up some free comics. Unfortunately, only the majors were left as all the independent comics were gone by the time I got there. Here's a picture of me showing off my bounty at Independence Brew Pub where I had dinner.

As everyone knows, Monday Night Tgirls is the best Monday night tgirl party on the planet and I owe it all to my loyal supporters who make the party fun each and every week. May 7, 2007 was our 30th party. I named Misty Katz our first Monday Night Tgirls Profile Girl. |

May 14, 2007 was our THINK PINK! fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. My co-host Chris and I had our strongest support that night with such wonderful guests as Misty, Jennifer, Danielle, John, Sandy, Kelly G, Terry, Carolyn D Alarcos, Jack, Jerry, Joe, Mike, Gary, Tom & Christine, Bobbi & Carolyn, and Allanah & Roxy. I would especially like to laud the three couples that were there as it shows spousal support for what we do. There were 21 people total who were there for Monday Night Tgirls and a bunch of others who joined our party, but didn't want to be cast in the limelight. Misty was slowdancing with patrons for donations towards our charity. Altogether, we raised almost $300 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure! We believe this is a phenomenal amount for our party's first fundraiser and we hope to have more of these in the future.

One of the things I love about Philadelphia is not just its diversity in culture, but in architecture as well. Streets like Walnut Street have different brownstones lined up with storefronts on street level. You'll find restaurants, pubs, clothing stores, realty brokers, flower shops, and more all on the same block!
This is Fuji Mountain, one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Center City (downtown Philadelphia). They are pricey, but worth it. The $35 Super Fuji special offers 11 pieces of sushi made from a chef's selection of the freshest fish flown in daily and four pieces of California roll made with King Crab. A few of the select fish I get whenever I order this are pink snapper, sea urchin, and chu-toro. |

May 21, 2007 was our SPRING FLING theme party at Monday Night Tgirls. All of our girls were dressed in their newest springtime outfits! Even our little dominatrix was looking spritely in her "Boys Make Good Pets" tee shirt. Misty, Jennifer, John, Tiffany, Kristin Nichols, Carolyn D Alarcos, Bobbi & Carolyn, Allanah, and the dom and her boyfriend joined us. Nine of us went to breakfast at a diner afterwards. photo credits: Kalina Isato, Misty Katz, and Christina Adams

Christina Adams and I hosted our second Philadelphia Club Crawl on Friday, May 25, 2007 for a group of 17 people from four different states. We started our evening with dinner at Tavern on Camac and headed upstairs to Tavern's Ascend Lounge to meet up with more girls. |
|
We then headed over to Sister's at 11pm for live music and dancing, Woody's at midnight for more dancing, and 12th Air Command at 1am to chill out and wind down. Thanks to everyone who joined us and made our club crawl a great success! |

Our May 28, 2007 Memorial Day Monday Night Tgirls party was a blast. Special guests that evening included a former male exotic dancer and a professional chef. Also joining us was a new girl named Shelby.
